Cloverport City Volunteer Fire Department

The City of Cloverport is actively seeking Volunteer Fire Fighters.  No previous training required.  Must be at least 18 years old.  All community driven individuals please apply at City Hall.


Cloverport City Volunteer Fire Department is a volunteer department. The department is located at 710 West Houston Street, Cloverport, KY.  In case of emergency, please call 911. At this time Cloverport Volunteer Fire Department is responsible for the coverage of the City of Cloverport and it's outlying areas. Throughout Breckinridge County volunteer fire departments work under interlocal agreements and mutual aid. In the event of another department needing assistance, the closest other departments may respond.

Fire Dues

Fire dues are currently attached to property tax bills for the outlying areas pursuant to County of Breckinridge Ordinances 2011-0314, 2011-1017 and 2012-1126. This is an optional due. However, charges may be incurred in the event that property owners, who have opted out of due payment, need to utilize services provided by the Cloverport City Volunteer Fire Department. For those inside the city limits of the City of Cloverport, the property and insurance premium taxes are considered as payment for your portion of the fire dues. If you have questions regarding fire dues you my contact the Breckinridge County Sheriff's Office at (270)756-2361. Any and all donations will be graciously accepted and are tax deductible in most cases. 

​Did you know?

Volunteers must be 15 years of age to become a Junior Firefighter.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age to become a firefighter. 

Volunteers must not have been convicted of a felony.
